LING-WEI CHEN

Principal Investigator

I am an epidemiologist researching on nutritional, obesity, and life course epidemiology, with a special interest in the Developmental Origins of Health and Diseases (DOHaD). I publish widely in top international journals. My works are highly regarded by the journal editors and often attract widespread media attention. I serve on the editorial board of BMC Pediatrics, was a guest editor of a special issue of Nutrients, chaired conference sessions, and frequently reviewed manuscripts and grant proposals for reputable journals and organizations.

When I am not researching, things I enjoy include: reading (as if scientific papers were not enough...), sci-fi movies/series (Inception, Black Mirror), strategic games, dark roast for coffee, and Earl Grey for tea.

Fun fact: I speak four languages and two dialects, have a guess!

YU-EN CHEN (陳語恩)

Full-time research assistant

Hi! My name is Yu-En. I graduated from National Taiwan Normal University. My major is nutrition science and I am a nutritionist. My master’s thesis investigated the effect of coumarin on peripheral glial cells incubated in high-glucose medium. I like to experiment and explore new things. I would feel upset when my experiment fails, but  I enjoy the moment of success. Now, I am exploring the impact of chrononutrition on pregnant women and children. This project is very new and interesting to me and I hope it is going well.
